Commercial property
David joined Teacher Stern as a trainee in 1990. He is a commercial property lawyer, involved in all types of investment acquisitions and disposals, including large portfolio transactions and major shopping centres.
His broad commercial property experience extends to property finance, acting for both borrowers and lenders, and to tax-related property transactions, with a particular emphasis on stamp duty land tax mitigation schemes.
• Purchase of a portfolio of nine nursing homes for £30 million
• Sale of a £92 million industrial site, approx 1 million sq ft, via a sale of the client’s units in a Jersey Unit Trust
• Acquisition of a bank's new HQ building in the City for over £200 million
• £78 million purchase of a multi let shopping centre in the north west.
