Sports law,information technology and commercial law
George has a unique blend of expertise in sports law, information technology and general commercial law. As head of the sports group, George has worked on a range of high-profile sports related matters and has gained wide experience in transactions involving football player transfers, player sponsorship and image rights agreements.
He has also advised extensively on the FA Football Agents Regulations. George’s article, “Should the football authorities allow third-party ownership of the registration of football players” was published in the British Association for Sport and Law Journal (Vol. 16, Issue 2, 2008).
Also highly experienced in the field of information technology, George has negotiated and drafted a wide range of non-contentious information technology agreements including agreements for IT outsourcing projects, professional services, website development and hosting agreements, software development and licence agreements, source code escrow agreements, back-end services agreements and technology exploitation arrangements. His extensive experience spans the software, gaming, media and technology sectors.
George has been involved in negotiating numerous and varied commercial agreements ranging from franchise agreements, shareholder agreements and joint venture agreements to book publishing agreements.
