Marc is a partner in the firm’s Corporate Department and specialises in all aspects of capital markets transactions, mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance and corporate real estate. Marc has particular expertise in the hospitality and leisure sector.
Recent transactions include:
• Advising hotel investment group Azure Properties on a new 4 star hotel at East Midlands Airport
• Advising Europe’s leading lighting manufacturer and distributor, National Lighting Company , on various matters
• Advising the Abokado food chain on a private equity investment by leisure specialists, Kings Park Capital
• Advising City Networks on their global software agreements with major financial institutions
• Advising the Juffali Family on the sale of premium womenswear label, Amanda Wakeley, to Arvoco Limited
• Advising on the establishment of the Centaurus Project Gallery
• Advising the Hotel Chocolat group on various matters
• Advising café chain Fresh Italy on its group reorganisation
• Advising a Dutch property company on its $9 million refinancing arrangements with Bank Leumi
• Advising a private investor in the sale of their stake in a pub group
• Advising an AIM listed property company on its £15 million placing
• Advising a global hotel real estate fund on its acquisition of five UK and European 4 and 5 star hotels
• Advising a global music company on its £1.2 billion acquisition of a music business
• Advising a fully listed company on its acquisition of a racecourse
• Advising a US property fund on its acquisition of a Jersey property unit trust for £45 million
Marc has been awarded the ‘Star Volunteer Award' from Wandsworth & Merton City Council for his longstanding pro bono contribution to the Borough. Marc is a trustee of the London Legal Support Trust which provides financial support to over 50 legal advice centres in London and the South East and also sits on the board of several other UK charitable foundations. Marc is a member of the constitution committee of the Board of Deputies and a Freeman of the City of London.
