Starting on the weekend of 31st March 2018, Andrew Hughes, Associate in our Corporate and Commercial team will be taking on five events in five countries on five CONSECUTIVE weekends all in support of the firms nominated charity, Grief Encounter.

Andrew will be taking on:

  1. Tour of Flanders Sportive – a 232km one day cycle up the steep climbs and across the cobbled roads of Western Flanders, Belgium;
  2. Paris Roubaix Challenge – a 172km one day cycle in Northern France featuring 29 sections of brutal cobbles totalling 54.7km in total. Known in pro-cycling as the ‘Hell of the North’;
  3. Amstel Gold Sportive – a 240km undulating one day cycle through the eastern part of the Netherlands;
  4. London Marathon – needs no introduction!
  5. Mallorca 312 – a brutal 312km one day cycle around the mountainous island of Mallorca with over 16,500ft of vertical climbing.

“Grief is not an easy subject to talk about or deal with internally” – Grief Encounter support bereaved children and their families to help alleviate the pain caused by the death of a loved one. The service they provide is free, funded through the generosity of their supporters.
