Tom started his training contract at the firm in September 2017 with a view to qualifying as a solicitor. His first seat was in the Dispute Resolution department where he assisted on a wide-range of commercial and corporate disputes.

Tom’s second seat was in the Real Estate department where he worked on a variety of high-value commercial and residential property transactions including:

·         Assisting on a £43,000,000 refinance of a portfolio of hotel properties in central London.

·         Assisting on a £19,000,000 acquisition of a development site in London.

·         Assisting an off-shore client with various commercial lettings and general portfolio management matters for a shopping centre in Surrey.

Tom sat his final seat in the Banking & Finance department before moving to the Corporate and Commercial team as an associate.

Before joining Teacher Stern, Tom spent 9 months as a trainee in the Legal Unit of the European Banking Authority in London where he gained experience in financial services law and EU institutional law.

Tom is listed in the Legal 500 2024 as a recommended lawyer.
